Judge Dredd

Acrylic on artboard, minor retouching to repair damage. This piece was inspired by the work of Simon Bisley, and this work on the graphic novel 'Judgement on Gotham' (1991), a crossover where Bat Man encounters Judge Dredd! I was blow away by his art, and this is my attempt at creating a muscular Dredd. I think of him as a macho style Dredd, the personification of the 'uber man' concept, as if he's the archetype of the 'strong man of the law & order'.
